The band are originally from Wimslow, Manchester and formed in February 2005 by Adam. They played their first show at a MYB in Macclesfield two days later (all covers). The band were greatly recieved and from then on they have decided to take things seriously as a band. A few months on and 'Drive Like I Do' (then known as Me vs You vs Them) started to write original material and since then have recorded 4 track demos.
In 2010 they changed their name to 'B I G S L E E P' and supported 'One Night Only' on tour. In 2011 the band then changed their name once again to 'The Slowdown' and supported 'Little Comets' on tour.
It is unknown to why the band keep changing their name... perhaps they enjoy being mysterious? After all they are almost anonymous on the Internet, with just a couple of videos online.
Despite this the band are hotly tipped in Manchester and have a huge following around the UK.
Some songs in their set include:
- Chocolate
- Robbers
- Ghosts
- Sex
- Scary Monsters
Listen to the videos we found of them and see for yourself just how brilliant they are.
